HHS Moments

I've had a couple Hutch High moments in the last couple weeks.

I am working up in Greeley, Co. this summer, actually staying In Loveland.  Been up here about 3 weeks now.  After a couple of days, I stopped in at the Loveland Visitors Center.  One of the ladies working there asks me where I'm from.  When I tell her Ks., she asks where.  When I say Hutchinson, her face lights up, she gets this big grin on her face, and she bursts out with the Allagaroo!  I have no choice but to join in.  So here's all thes tourists from all over the world with their mouths hanging open, staring at these two idiots practically screaming the Allagaroo!

The other one happened tonight.  I was down in Denver for a meeting this morning.  Went to lunch with the boss.  Ate way more than I usually do.  So this evening, I was just going to make myself a sandwich for dinner.  Decided it made no sense to sit in motel room watching TV while I ate.  Now downtown Estes Park is barely 30 miles from here, so I packed my dinner up and headed up into the mountains.  Found an off the beaten path spot and hiked down to this little stream in a pretty steep canyone.  Had my little picnic dinner down  there.

Amoung the incredable sights around me while I eat are wildflowers al around me.  Unbidden comes: "... full many a flower is born to blush unseen, and waste it's sweetness on the desert (mountain) air."   So 40 years later, Mr. Kanaur (sp?) is still in my head!
