Michael L. Hurt, 66, of Hutchinson, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018, at his home. He was born January 13, 1952, to Leo Jr. and Tena (Stringos) Hurt, in Hutchinson.
Michael married Barbara Dellinger (Amstutz). They shared nearly 30 years together. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughters, Angela Hurt and Melanie Martinez, both of Hutchinson; stepdaughter, Jennifer Dellinger of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Ava Martinez, Ashlea and Alexis Griffith, all of Hutchinson, Stormy Thompson of Ellsworth, Mackenzie Minner, and Mallory and Daylan Martinez; great-grandchildren, Zeke and Ariel King of Hutchinson; sister, Kris Hicks of Arizona; stepbrother, Jay Blaine of Illinois; beloved cat, Smoky; and other relatives and friends.
He loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and riding his mini bikes. He was dearly loved by all.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at Elliott Mortuary, with Perry Nolan officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will take place at a later date in Ransom Cemetery, Ransom, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
